fresh out of my senior year of highschool in 2013, i stayed in northern Germany for three weeks - but my host sister and i did not get along. outside group activities spent with the rest of the exchange, my trip was spent mostly in isolation. in essence, DEUTSCHLAND is a 15-page color sketchbook depicting an idealized reality of color, cutesy, and and candy that blossomed from loneliness.
